According to Lao media reports, a series of rainstorm occurred from July 27 to August 2, causing a landslide on the 8A highway from Kunkan Village, Kunkan County, Ganmeng Province to Nonggu Village, Kangge County, Borikansai Province. As of August 6, 110 trapped vehicles had been found. Among them, 5 cars were destroyed, with over 70 people stranded and no casualties. The local public works and transportation office is urgently repairing roads to facilitate public transportation.
