According to the Jakarta Post, recently, human rights organizations in Myanmar formally filed a complaint with the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission through legal representatives. The complaint states that the Indonesian National Ammunition Factory, Indonesian Shipbuilding Company, and Indonesian Aerospace Company have sold handguns, assault rifles, ammunition, tanks, and other equipment to the Burmese military over the past 10 years.

It is reported that previously, the investigation results of human rights organizations in Myanmar showed that since the Myanmar militaryAfter launching a coup in 2021 to overthrow the elected government, Indonesia's arms sales in Myanmar have been ongoing. Human rights organizations in Myanmar have expressed deep doubts about whether the Indonesian government has fulfilled its obligations under international human rights and humanitarian law, and hope that the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission will investigate this matter as soon as possible.

Industry insiders revealed that Indonesia's National Ammunition Manufacturing FactorySince 2014, weapons have been sold to Myanmar, and after the coup, the Indonesian National Ammunition Factory did not terminate the agreement to sell weapons. In July 2023, the company explicitly listed Myanmar as an export market. In response to the allegations made by human rights organizations in Myanmar, the Indonesian National Ammunition Manufacturing Factory strongly denies that the company has not sold any weapons to Myanmar since 2016.

01Vietnam's rice exports hit a historic high

According to the Vietnamese People's Daily, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam recently calculated the export volume of Vietnamese rice in the first nine months of this year. The data shows that the export volume of Vietnamese rice in the first nine months of 2023 reached 3.66 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 40.4%, setting a new historical high. Previously, Vietnam's rice exports reached a peak of 3.65 billion US dollars in 2011. It is worth noting that the export volume of rice in the first nine months of this year was only 6.6 million tons, which decreased by about 500000 tons compared to the export volume in 2011.

This is mainly because since the beginning of this year, the export price of Vietnamese rice has been at a high level, with approximately553 US dollars, an increase of 14% compared to the same period last year. In recent months, world rice prices have decreased, but Vietnam's rice export prices still rank first in the world. The Vietnam Food Association stated that Vietnam's rice export prices will not decline until the end of this year.
