Ayutthaya, approximately north of BangkokIt is 80 kilometers away from the site of the old imperial palace in Thailand and has been included in the UNESCO The World Heritage List. This used to be the capital of the most prosperous Dacheng dynasty, and after experiencing the heyday of the dynasty, as well as centuries of wind, rain, and war, it was ultimately preserved to this day.

The name "Da Cheng" in Thai is "Ayutthaya", which means to be steadfast and invincible. From 1351 to 1767, the Dacheng Dynasty was extremely glorious, becoming the second Southeast Asian superpower after the Khmer Empire. According to historical records, there have been over 2000 gilded pointed pagoda style temples here, which are everywhere magnificent and magnificent, like a "paradise on earth". In this more than 400 year history, the superior geographical location of Ayutthaya is indispensable. It is located in the alluvial plain of the Chao Phraya River, with fertile land and abundant resources. It also has waterways leading to the Gulf of Siam, with developed foreign trade. It also tightly controls the gateway to the sea of Sukhothai in the north, gaining the upper hand in transportation and geography, and resisting countless invasions.

In the sixth year of the Yongle reign of the Ming Dynasty, during Zheng He's voyages to the West, he led a fleet of ships up the Chao Phraya River and visited the capital city. Until the Ming and Qing dynasties, a continuous stream of Chinese merchant ships arrived in Siam, leading to frequent trade exchanges between the two countries. During the same period, a man from Poland named Bumig also made a stop at Ayutthaya on his way from Europe to China. The red brick walls and tiles that they once touched witnessed the important role played by the Ayutthaya in cultural exchange and religious activities between the East and the West.

When the Dacheng Dynasty reached its peak, it was met with jealousy from neighboring Myanmar, and a prolonged tug of war broke out between the two countries. Until more than two hundred years ago, the Burmese army captured the capital of Dacheng State, looting the city completely, causing the entire city's residents to be brutally killed, and the entire city to be burned down, leaving no palace or temple unscathed. This is the longest dynasty in Thai history, with all its charm and charm, in the ADIn 1767, it disappeared forever.

From then on, Otsunagawa integrated all its stories and customs into the ruins. As the capital of the dynasty, it experienced33 kings and 70 wars witnessed the pinnacle of the dynasty's economy and culture, as well as the misfortunes of plunder and destruction.

A hundred years have passed quickly, and today's Dachengfu is more like a rural and less modern tourist city. There are no crowds of tourists or noisy markets here, in stark contrast to the Grand Palace in Bangkok. Walking between the ruins of Dachengfu, although there are ruins everywhere, one can vaguely see the grand grandeur of the past and the grandeur of the imperial city. The towering Buddha statues and meticulous carvings still leave a sense of shock. Just without life, like a silhouette of the vicissitudes of history.
