Shengjian Temple is a temple located in the northeast of Angkor City, Cambodia. It was builtDuring the reign of Jayavara VII in the 12th century. According to legend, the temple was built by this king in memory of his father.

Although the architectural style of Shengjian Temple has a Hindu style similar to that of Bayon Temple, it is actually a magnificent Buddhist temple. Legend has it that Jayavara II gave his successor a holy sword, which was kept in the temple, and the Holy Sword Temple was named after it. This is not only a place for monks to live and study, but also a temporary residence for King Jayavara VII during the reconstruction of Angkor City. There are stone statues of guardians holding swords everywhere in the temple. This place once played the role of a palace, with a team of thousands of people maintaining its supply. As a result, Shengjian Temple has become the most valued temple by the Khmer people and also the palace of successive kings. Even though the war continued and the later Angkor royal family abandoned the city, the incense here still flourished.

The scale of Shengjian Temple is grand, with its exterior walls made of red clay and everyWithin 50 meters, there is a statue of Kalura and the snake god Naga, totaling 72 statues. The rectangular wall is 800 meters long and 700 meters wide, covering an area of 56 hectares, surrounded by a moat.
