It is worth mentioning that the construction of the Giruta floating solar power plant took three years and cost approximately100 million US dollars. This massive project has received strong support from financial institutions such as Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, Societe Generale, and Standard Chartered Bank, as well as cooperation from Indonesian State Power Company and Abu Dhabi Green Energy Company Masdar. With the joint efforts of all parties, this power plant has finally been successfully completed, injecting new vitality into the energy transformation and environmental protection cause of Indonesia and even the entire Southeast Asian region.

At the inauguration ceremony of the power plant, Indonesian President Jokovi excitedly stated that this is a historic day for Indonesia to achieve its dream of a large-scale renewable energy plant. He emphasized that the construction of the Giruta floating solar power plant not only helps accelerate Indonesia's energy transformation process, but also provides valuable learning opportunities for local workers, enabling them to access advanced renewable energy technologies and enhance their professional skills.

In fact, out of the 1400 Indonesian workers involved in the project, 60 were originally engaged in the aquaculture industry. By participating in this project, they not only learned the construction and development technology of floating solar power plants, but also laid a solid foundation for their future work in similar projects in Indonesia.

Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Resources official Yudo also expressed appreciation for the successful completion of the Giruta floating solar power plant. He stated that the success of this project will motivate the government to continue increasing investment in renewable energy and building more similar infrastructure. He revealed that the government plans to use various reservoirs in Indonesia to build floating solar power plants and actively promote the construction of reservoirs and dams.
