The Singaporean authorities have also been deeply affected, as criminals use deepfakes to replicate the voices and facial expressions of Singapore's then Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and then Deputy Prime Minister Huang Xuncai to promote investment platforms; Singapore's Defense Minister Goh Chok Tong has also been used for deepfake technology to create a video promoting cryptocurrency and post it on social media.
