It is reported that Thai business organizations and multiple groups have recently filed complaints with the government, pointing out that the current restrictions on the sale of alcoholic beverages may hinder economic development, especially in line with the "2025 Magical Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year" goals that the Thai government is vigorously promoting. In response to these feedbacks, Prime Minister Petongtan stated after presiding over the cabinet meeting that the government will re-examine relevant policies to assess their impact on the tourism industry and the overall economy.

Pei Tongtan pointed out that some restrictions on the sale of alcoholic beverages were introduced during the epidemic period, so it is necessary to adjust them according to the current economic and tourism situation. She emphasized that the government attaches great importance to this matter and will carefully adjust relevant policies while ensuring public safety to avoid unnecessary negative impacts on businesses and the tourism industry.

Regarding the ban on alcohol from 2pm to 5pm, Petongtan stated that the government will conduct in-depth research on this matter. She pointed out that this regulation may be unfamiliar to foreign tourists and may affect their travel experience. Therefore, the government needs to find a balance between protecting minors and promoting the development of the tourism industry.

Meanwhile, Petongtan also mentioned restrictions on the sale of alcoholic beverages during Buddhist holidays. She stated that the government will comprehensively evaluate the impact of these regulations on the tourism industry and make corresponding adjustments based on the evaluation results. She emphasized that the government will not lift all restrictions, but will strictly control and ensure the balanced implementation of policies.

In addition, Pei Tongtan also stated that while adjusting the prohibition of alcohol, the government will simultaneously formulate protection measures for minors to ensure that they will not easily obtain alcoholic beverages due to policy relaxation. She pointed out that protecting minors is one of the important responsibilities of the government, and the government will take stricter measures in this regard.
