With the acceleration of regional integration, the Singapore Johor Bahru MRT project connecting Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia is in full swing. This transnational subway system not only symbolizes the close cooperation between the two countries, but also indicates that residents of the two places will have more convenient travel in the future. Recently, good news came from the project: the overall system engineering of Xinrou Metro has been completed by nearly half, especially the track installation project of the depot located in Johor Bahru City, which has exceeded 65% progress.
It is reported that the core part of the New Johor MRT project is the track that extends from Johor Depot to Woodlands North Station in Singapore, with a total length of approximately 5.3 kilometers. Since the operating company RTS Operations was approved to enter the depot for track installation in September last year, the engineering team has been working intensively and has achieved significant results. The track installation work in the car factory is not only progressing rapidly, but also of high quality. The smooth completion of the first welding work ensures the seamless connection of the entire track, laying a solid foundation for the smooth and safe operation of the subway.
Zhalin Aduganni, the project director of Xinrou Metro Operation Company, stated that in the coming months, the company will focus on the construction of key systems, including track work, locomotives and rolling stock, traction power supply system, and signal and control system. The improvement of these systems will directly affect the operational efficiency of the subway and the travel experience of passengers.
Meanwhile, the newAhmad Mazuki, the President of the Rou Metro Operation Company, also expressed high satisfaction with the progress of the project. He thanked the two infrastructure companies in Singapore and Malaysia for their strong support. It was their timely entry and efficient construction that enabled the project to proceed smoothly. As the operator of Xinrou Metro, RTS Operations is making every effort to ensure that operational preparations are foolproof and to complete the project on schedule.
The Xinrou Subway Depot not only undertakes the parking task of subway trains, but also serves as an important base for future train maintenance and upkeep. The 14 acre depot will have approximately 200 employees on duty every day, including operations, maintenance, and upkeep teams, after the train service is officially put into operation. They will provide strong guarantees for the safe operation of the subway. The smooth progress of the Xinrou Metro project not only demonstrates the spirit of cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia in infrastructure construction, but also injects new vitality into the prosperity of the regional economy and the convenience of people's lives.
