It is reported that since mid May, Vietnam has been in a state of rotating power outages nationwide. In Northern VietnamJiangbei, Beining, Hanoi, Yongfu, Haiphong and other provinces and cities are the most severely affected, with Vietnam's electronic industry and automotive and component manufacturing industries concentrated in this region. Many international enterprises have built factories here, such as Luxshare, AAC Technologies, Goer Acoustics, Samsung, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Murata, Canon, Fujitsu, Hon Hai, Yingyeda, etc. Foreign direct investment funds account for half of Vietnam's total registered capital70% -80%.

The shortage of electricity supply has directly led to the shutdown of factories in the world's major factories, which has had a huge impact on Vietnam's electronics and manufacturing industry. According to statistics from Jiwei Network, it is expected that there will be a total ofMore than 11000 enterprises have been affected.

The Vietnamese authorities quickly formulated a plan to cope with this power outage storm, and the specific implementation mainly started from two aspects: domestic throttling and foreign open source.

Domestic throttling mainly involves implementing staggered electricity usage and saving basic electricity. For example, factory production will be given priority during the day and electricity will be reserved for household use at night. Those factories that need to urgently complete orders can apply for a deadline of midnight to early morningNight production will take place between 5 o'clock, and this plan will continue until the end of June. Some provinces and cities also require turning off or reducing the brightness of 50% of street lights to further save electricity.

The main reason for foreign open source is to increase the import of electricity and energy from China and Laos.

On May 23rd, in Dongxing City, Fangchenggang, Guangxi, China, Guangxi and Vietnam officially signed a power purchase and sales agreement for the 110 kV deep trench to Mang Street networking project. It is reported that from 2005 to 2016, Guangxi transmitted over 1.1 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Vietnam through the China Vietnam power grid. This is seven years after China resumed power transmission to Vietnam.

The cooperation between Vietnam and Laos mainly focuses on media imports.

According to local media reports in Vietnam,Bordering Vietnam and LaosLuo YaoIn the region, coal trucks continuously transport coal to Vietnam every day, and even form traffic congestion at border checkpoints. Therefore,In order to maintain long-term stability in importing coal from Laos, Vietnam proposes to build a160 kilometers of coalConveyor belt, capable of transporting more than1500 tons of coal per yearThe total import volume can reach150000 to 200000 tons.

After being put into use, this conveyor belt will surpass the longest one in the world, which is located in the Western Sahara Desert100 kilometers of conveyor belt. The estimated cost for the installation of the conveyor belt in Vietnam is 10.8 trillion Vietnamese đồng, about 459.77 million US dollars. At present, this proposal has been submitted to the Prime Minister of Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Previously, the Politics of Vietnam Political Bureau had releasedAbout toResolution 55 of the 2030 Energy StrategyWhich emphasizes thatIn 2050, coal-fired generators will be replaced by clean energy. This time, Vietnam has increased its coal import efforts to address urgent needs, which has sparked heated discussions among industry insiders.

An insider revealed that Vietnam'sThe investment amount in the 2030 energy strategy resolution is as high as 134.7 billion US dollars, and the Vietnamese authorities have difficulty deciding which department to entrust the project to. Therefore, there has been almost no progress in releasing funds, and the plan has also been temporarily put on hold. Therefore, the existing electricity consumption structure can only be temporarily maintained.
