Hubei is located in the central region of China, belonging to the Yangtze River system. With a flat terrain and suitable climate, it is one of the origins of the Chinese agricultural civilization. Throughout its long development process, rural areas and agriculture have always been the most important components of Hubei. Since entering the 21st century, Hubei has made significant progress in revitalizing rural areas. Data shows that the grain production in Hubei has remained stable at over 50 billion kilograms for many consecutive years, and in 2021, it reached 55.29 billion kilograms. The production of freshwater products has remained the top in the country for 26 consecutive years, reaching 4.832 million tons.
In addition, the Jingchu culture has a long history and is an important source and root of the Yangtze River civilization. Exploring rural culture is also analyzing the source, innovation, and inheritance of Jingchu culture from the grassroots labor and life, and exploring the charm of rural culture. Using rural stories to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Chu culture not only enriches the spiritual and cultural life of farmers, but also enhances the soft power of rural culture.
This summit also had forward-looking discussions on the cultural strategy for revitalizing rural areas in the future. Integrating rural culture and tourism into the construction of new rural areas is a new idea and path for cultural revitalization of rural areas, which will definitely promote the development of rural economy, culture, society, ecology, and other aspects.
