Recently,Photovoltaic projects undertaken by Chinese companies to achieve full capacity grid connected power generation in Indonesia,Indonesian President Joko attended the grid connected power generation ceremony. This project is the first and largest floating photovoltaic project in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, as well as the deepest floating photovoltaic project under construction in the world. It will play an important demonstration and leading role in the development of clean energy in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia.

Indonesia is located in the equatorial region, with annual sunshine duration of up to3500 hours, with abundant solar energy resources, the total amount of photovoltaic power generation that can be developed and utilized is 2898GW. According to public data, the current installed capacity in Indonesia is only 0.2GW, equivalent to only 0.007% of development. The Indonesian Ministry of Energy has set a future goal of installing 0.36GW of rooftop distributed photovoltaic power plants by 2025, and will provide policy support.

As the first large-scale centralized photovoltaic project in Indonesia, the Chilata Photovoltaic Project has a total installed capacity of192 MW, with a total of 13 photovoltaic arrays on the water surface of the photovoltaic field. The photovoltaic field is located in the Chilata Reservoir in Bandung County, West Java Province, approximately 130 kilometers from the capital Jakarta, with a total coverage area of approximately 250 hectares. The project is jointly developed by Indonesian State Power Company and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, and constructed by China Power Construction Group East China Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd.

The complex underwater terrain and steep slope of this project pose a huge challenge to the design and construction of geological exploration and anchoring systems, with a depth of 100 meters. On the basis of accurately evaluating the stress situation of the anchoring system, the project team innovated the design scheme of the anchoring system, ensuring that the drift distance of the square array can meet the design requirements under both high and low water levels, and successfully completed the construction of the anchoring system. At the same time, the project team overcame a series of construction difficulties caused by the local rainy season that lasts for six months each year, ensuring the successful construction of the project.

China Power Construction Group East China Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., LtdoddZhang Huizhong, the manager of the Lata project, stated that after the commercial operation of the project, it is expected that the annual power generation will reach300000 megawatt hours can save 117000 tons of standard coal annually in Indonesia, reducing emissions of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides by 214000 tons, 9000 tons, and 4500 tons, respectively. It can provide clean electricity to approximately 50000 households.

Zoko inGrid connected power generationAt the ceremony, it was stated that Indonesia's dream of owning a large-scale new energy power generation project has finally come true, and Indonesia will continue to explore the potential of various renewable energy sources to support Indonesia's efforts toThe goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2060.
