Recently, Israel and Hamas resumed indirect negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza in the Qatari capital Doha. Hamas stated that the focus of this negotiation is to reach a comprehensive ceasefire agreement, allow Israeli troops to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and determine implementation details, as well as allow displaced persons in the Gaza Strip to return home. Israel and Hamas had previously accused each other of obstructing the ceasefire negotiations, leading to a delay in reaching an agreement.
Since the outbreak of the Israel Kazakhstan conflict in October 2023, almost all of the 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip have been displaced, triggering a serious humanitarian crisis.
This issue's hot event tracking will sort out the negotiations.

Sources familiar with the Doha negotiations have revealed that in the latest round of talks in Qatar, the two sides have made significant progress on the remaining differences.
The current agreement reached by both sides includes the release of 33 hostages in the first phase of the ceasefire, including women and children, men over 50 years old, as well as the injured and physically weak; On the 16th day of the ceasefire, both sides began negotiations to ensure the release of eligible military personnel and the return of hostages' bodies. Gaza ceasefire agreement comes into effect, Israel will release 737 people
January 19thThe ceasefire and personnel exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip has come into effect, and Israel has announced the release of 737 Palestinians it has imprisoned in the first phase of the agreement's implementation.
Prior to this, the ceasefire agreement was approved by the Security Cabinet vote, in which several ministers from the ruling coalition led by Netanyahu voted against it. However, the agreement was ultimately passed by an overwhelming majority and submitted to the Israeli Cabinet Plenum. Subsequently, the Israeli Cabinet Plenum approved the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Analysts believe that the scale of casualties caused by the current Israeli Palestinian conflict exceeds that of previous Middle East wars. Anti war sentiment and international public opinion pressure in Israel continue to rise, and the Israeli side has been unable to achieve the goal of "completely eliminating Hamas forces". However, Israel has severely weakened the internal structure and external support of the Gaza Strip armed forces by successively removing leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, and its strategic goals have been achieved to some extent.
Under the joint efforts of the people's aspirations and international efforts to promote peace talks, the conflicting parties ultimately made concessions. However, the current turmoil in the Middle East has escalated into conflicts among multiple countries in the region. In addition, there are still fundamental contradictions between Israel and Palestine on core issues such as the status of Jerusalem and the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Whether the ceasefire agreement can be fully implemented and promote long-term peace between Israel and Palestine still faces many challenges.
