However, such a large production base for traditional Chinese medicine is not satisfactory in terms of exports.

Japan and South Korea have a high share in the world traditional Chinese medicine market80% -90%. According to research institutions, Vietnam's export of traditional Chinese medicine mainly faces two problems. Firstly, most of Vietnam's medicinal materials are exported as raw materials without deep processing, and the added value of products is not competitive in the global Chinese medicine market. Secondly, most medicinal plants in Vietnam cannot meet international standards, and there is a certain gap in quality compared to major global traditional Chinese medicine products.

Authoritative experts in the industry have also proposed corresponding solutions to this issue.

First of all, in terms of product production, Vietnam Pharmaceutical participates in the competition in the global medicinal materials market.
