Recently, Lu Zhicheng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qingqiao International Security Group, was invited to participate in the inaugural press conference of Phnom Penh to Chongqing jointly organized by Cambodian Airlines and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Company. Leaders and representatives from the Consulate General of Cambodia in Chongqing, Chongqing Port and Logistics Office, various travel agencies, media and other relevant units attended the press conference. This is the first international route opened by Chongqing this year and another important moment for economic and trade cooperation between China and Cambodia.

The latest report released by the General Administration of Customs of Cambodia shows that in 2023, Cambodia's international trade volume reached 46.8 billion US dollars, and China remains its largest trading partner. Under the "the Belt and Road" initiative, Cambodia has many large projects invested by China, such as roads, bridges, ports, airports, hydropower stations, economic zones, national stadiums and expressways. These projects have provided win-win results for all parties.

But Cambodia's prolonged civil war and turmoil have left profound scars on the country. Cambodia's social problems are quite prominent, with severe wealth inequality and crime issues always posing a serious challenge.

Cambodia is one of the main distribution countries of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia, with approximately 900000 overseas Chinese, accounting for 6% of the total population. This proportion is second only to Singapore and Malaysia among Southeast Asian countries. In the past five years, the number of new immigrants from Chinese Mainland to Cambodia has increased by nearly 100000, and continues to increase. It is the fastest growing country in Southeast Asia for new immigrants from China, which also brings a rapid increase in Cambodia's security needs.

At the invitation of the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie Security Company, after the inaugural press conference, Chairman Lu Zhicheng took the KR964 inaugural flight at 23:30 that evening to Cambodia for a week-long business inspection, and initially reached a strategic partnership intention with the Royal Cambodian Gendarmerie Security Company. In 2024, Qingqiao International Security Group will land in Cambodia, which will also be an important step for Qingqiao International Security Group to expand its business in Southeast Asia.
