Laos is the only landlocked country in the northern part of the Indochinese Peninsula, bordering China to the north, Cambodia to the south, Vietnam to the east, Myanmar to the northwest, and Thailand to the southwest. The border line is over 5000 kilometers long, and border security issues are frequent. After more than 100 years of anti colonial war, the land is covered with landmines left over from the war. More importantly, Laos is densely covered with mountains and forests, with ravines crisscrossing. The globally renowned "Golden Triangle" is located in the northwest of Laos, and drug trafficking, smuggling, absconding, and fraud are all current security risks in Laos.

In recent years, the rapid response capability of the Lao police to emergencies has improved, but there is still a gap in investment and application in police equipment, digital governance, and other areas. In addition, the existing roads and infrastructure in Laos are not very complete, and the geographical situation is complex, making it difficult to respond to long-distance rescue.

On December 22, 2022, Qingqiao International Security Group and the Ministry of Public Security of Laos determined the strategic cooperation direction in the field of security to assist in ensuring social security in Laos. In January 2023, Qingqiao International Security Group donated infrared drones from the Ministry of Public Security of Laos to enhance patrol and prevention capabilities along the Laos border. In February 2023, Qingqiao International Security Group organized a technical team to conduct drone teaching and training for relevant personnel from the Lao Ministry of Public Security, and translated technical lesson plans in Lao language, promoting their application to grassroots law enforcement units. On September 15, 2023, Qingqiao International Security Group donated a batch of police enforcement equipment to the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.
