Recently, the State Council approved the establishment of the China-Philippines Economic and Trade Innovation Development Demonstration Park, and agreed in principle to the overall plan for the construction of the demonstration park.

The Overall Plan proposes 16 tasks in four areas. It includes: building a trade and investment park with complementary resources, and putting forward six tasks: building a raw material distribution center and a production and processing base, building a Sino-Philippine petrochemical industry cooperation center, building a live poultry import and livestock processing industrial base, building a modern agricultural industrial park, strengthening the park's infrastructure and key project construction, and innovating investment methods.

To build an innovative and developing service trade platform, four tasks have been proposed: building a cross-border e-commerce center, building a cold chain logistics center, building a digital trade center, and building an international route supply base.

Exploring a new model of industrial cooperation centered on scientific and technological research and development, three tasks were put forward: promoting the development of the medical and health industry, building a green and low-carbon energy and petrochemical industry, and actively building a platform for industry integration.

To build a new highland of service industry cooperation, three tasks have been put forward: promoting the integrated development of the cultural and tourism industry, strengthening cooperation in the education and medical care industry, and developing international training service business.
